My Packing Tips Tips

I travel pretty often for work and fun. I have made it my mission to get better at packing only what I need but still keeping it stylish. I hate to be on vacation and think of a bag or pair of shoes that would go perfect and I don't have them. My number 1 solution to that is pair up entire outfits, accessories and all before I leave. This way they are packed and ready to go with out any missing "favorite" parts.

Here are some other useful tips I have come up with to really keep it tight and under weight. Your vacation peace of mind will thank you for it.

  • Start with the right suitcase, lightweight is essential. I just spied the iFly Candy Collection its lightweight and super affordable.

  • Use packing cubes, these will keep you organized and make more space.

  • Strategically pack shoes in shoes bags, these can be heavy and take up room. I pick 2 pairs of heels that work for night, a pair of cute sneakers that I wear on the airplane and 2-4 pairs of flats/sandals for day.

  • Pack a toiletry roll out bag with a hook to hang it. You can fit all the must-haves in smaller versions, from moisturizer to relieve airplane dryness to a multipurpose stick for your eyes, cheeks, and lips.

  • Pack a foldable duffle bag, because somehow it’s always impossible to fit everything in your bag when you’re ready to come home.

  • Make your carry on a multi-purpose bag. Use a large tote bag that can double as a beach bag and a carry all bag through out the day.

  • Wear a small belt bag or cross body bag for easy access at the airport.

  • Wear your heaviest items on the airplane. Sneakers, a light sweater for cool nights and a denim jacket around the waist.
