Recipe { Artichoke Dipped in Lemon Butter}



I love artichokes so many different ways. There is rarely a recipe I do not like. I can stand making stuffed artichokes but I love them, so making this simple recipe made me happy. It is simply a steamed whole artichoke dipped in lemon butter. Here is how it goes.


2 Whole artichokes cleaned, cut stem off and outer rough leaves

1/2 stick of unsalted butter

1fresh lemon juice and lemon zest

flaky salt


Steam artichokes in water and 1/2 of the lemon juice. While they cook, melt butter and squeeze in 1/2 lemon and the zest plus flaky salt to taste. When a knife goes in easily and it feels soft remove from water and rinse with cold water. Pull a leaf off dip in butter sauce and enjoy!
