A Night Above It All: My Stay at the Four Seasons Philadelphia

I’ve stayed at the Four Seasons Philadelphia twice now—once for my birthday and again on New Year’s Eve—and both experiences were nothing short of incredible. Somehow, even a single night here feels like you’ve been away for a full week. It’s the kind of escape that completely resets you.

Set high above the busy streets of Philadelphia, the hotel feels worlds away from the city below. Philly wouldn’t normally be my go-to for a getaway, but the moment you arrive, everything changes. The noise disappears, the pace slows, and it genuinely feels like you’re floating above it all—calm, quiet, and completely removed.

The bar alone is an experience. Wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows, it gives you that surreal, above-the-clouds feeling, like you’re hovering over the earth. It’s glamorous without being overwhelming, dramatic yet soothing—exactly the balance Four Seasons does so well.Dinner is equally unforgettable. Fine dining here is led by Michelin-distinguished Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, complemented by innovative dishes from local James Beard Award-winner Chef Greg Vernick. Every single bite was delicious, refined, and thoughtfully executed—but the caviar toast appetizer is an absolute must. It’s indulgent, perfectly balanced, and one of those dishes you think about long after the meal ends.

The rooms are pure decadence. Thoughtfully designed with every amenity you could possibly need, they feel indulgent but never overdone. The bed? Dreamy. The kind of sleep where you wake up refreshed, glowing, and wondering why you ever rush back to real life.

What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the service. The staff knows your name, anticipates your needs, and appears instantly whenever you need anything—without ever feeling intrusive. It’s luxury that feels warm, personal, and effortless.

Yes, a one-night stay may feel like a splurge—but it’s worth every penny. This is the kind of place where quality trumps quantity. We opted for a late checkout, hit the gym, and then enjoyed brunch that was nothing short of glorious. A beautiful fruit platter and eggs benedict were my picks, and honestly, there was no reason to leave the hotel at all.

The Four Seasons Philadelphia isn’t just a stay—it’s an experience. One night here feels like a full escape, a reset, a reminder of how powerful true luxury and intentional rest can be. If you’re looking for a getaway that feels elevated, serene, and completely transporting, this is it.
